Findlay, Ohio — May 28, 2026 — The Findlay‑Hancock County Community Foundation has approved grants totaling $444,349.39 at its May board meeting, supporting a wide range of community initiatives. The funding includes 14 responsive grants and 71 donor‑advised fund grants, reflecting the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to strengthening local programs and events.
President & CEO Brian Treece emphasized the role of donors in making these grants possible. “Many of these grants represent our ongoing commitment to our Fun for All series of free community events. We’re in our fourth year of this program, which continues to grow and offer new ways to experience fun, for free, right here at home,” he said.
Responsive grants, funded through the Community’s Endowment, will support projects ranging from senior programming and school initiatives to arts, sports, and community celebrations. Highlights include funding for 50 North, the Findlay Art League, the Findlay Family YMCA, and the Hancock Historical Museum, all contributing to free events and cultural enrichment.
Donor‑advised grants also played a significant role, with 72 grants awarded to 58 organizations, totaling $351,267.39. These grants reflect the passions of individuals, families, and corporations who establish funds to support nonprofits vetted by the Foundation.
The announcement underscores the Foundation’s mission to foster community engagement, support local organizations, and provide opportunities for residents to enjoy inclusive events and services. With nearly half a million dollars invested, the impact of these grants will be felt across Hancock County in the months ahead.
