The Hubbell-Waterman Foundation has officially opened its 2026 grant cycle, offering funding opportunities for nonprofit organizations operating in Scott County, Iowa, and Rock Island County, Illinois. The program supports local initiatives focused on strengthening communities through targeted financial assistance.
The foundation’s grant program is designed to support projects in three main areas: education, social welfare, and culture and the arts. Eligible nonprofits can apply for funding to support capital projects, operational expenses, program delivery, and multi-year initiatives. The foundation also supports both established institutions and smaller or emerging organizations.
In the previous funding cycle, the foundation awarded more than $2 million in grants, supporting 67 nonprofit organizations across the region. Officials emphasize that the program is intended to encourage local leadership, collaboration, and long-term community impact.
Foundation representatives highlighted the importance of nonprofit organizations in addressing community needs and fostering regional development. The funding aims to support both immediate services and long-term initiatives that contribute to sustainable community growth.
Applications for the 2026 cycle are open until August 15, and submissions must be completed through the online grant system managed by the Quad Cities Community Foundation. Applicants are encouraged to seek assistance from foundation staff if needed during the application process.
The Hubbell-Waterman Foundation continues to position itself as a key supporter of nonprofit activity in the Quad Cities region, reinforcing its commitment to local development and community wellbeing.
