Mongolia has launched the upgraded e-Business.mn 2.0 platform, a major digital initiative designed to simplify business registration, improve access to public services, and support the formalization of informal businesses and workers.
The platform was officially introduced on 15 June 2026 through a joint event organized by the International Labour Organization, the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Communications, and the E-Mongolia Academy. The launch brought together government representatives, employers’ and workers’ organizations, private sector leaders, and development partners.
The upgraded e-Business.mn platform provides a single digital gateway for entrepreneurs and workers, helping reduce administrative barriers and making government services more accessible through web and mobile applications.
The new version offers access to hundreds of licensing services and a wide range of public services, allowing businesses to complete essential procedures online. It also supports digital employment processes, including online employment contracts for different forms of work such as hourly employment, domestic work, and remote work arrangements.
The platform plays an important role in helping informal businesses transition into the formal economy. By making registration and compliance processes easier, it encourages more businesses and workers to access legal protections, social security, and formal employment opportunities.
During the launch event, Mongolian Prime Minister N. Uchral highlighted the importance of digital transformation in improving governance, reducing administrative burdens, and creating a more transparent and business-friendly environment.
United Nations Resident Coordinator in Mongolia Jaap van Hierden emphasized that digital innovation can help expand access to decent work and strengthen labour market inclusion.
With the integration of employment-related digital services, e-Business.mn 2.0 is expected to improve compliance, increase access to social protection, and support a more productive economy.
The platform represents a significant step in Mongolia’s digital transformation efforts, helping businesses and workers connect with government services more efficiently while promoting the growth of the formal economy.
