The Government of Arunachal Pradesh has launched the fifth edition of its Entrepreneurship Development Programme (APEDP 5.0), aiming to strengthen the state’s startup ecosystem and promote innovation-led economic growth.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu announced the initiative for the 2026–27 period, highlighting its focus on creating employment opportunities and nurturing local entrepreneurship through structured support and seed funding. The programme is designed to transform innovative ideas into viable businesses while boosting long-term economic development across the state.
Under APEDP 5.0, the government will provide seed funding support to 100 startups. The top 20 ventures will receive ₹10 lakh each, while the remaining 80 startups will be awarded ₹8 lakh each to help scale their operations and accelerate growth.
The initiative encourages participation from youth, entrepreneurs, self-help groups, professionals, and innovators, with applications open until July 20. Officials stated that the programme will also include pre-incubation and incubation support to help startups develop and refine their business models.
The government emphasized that APEDP 5.0 is part of its broader strategy to build a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem in Arunachal Pradesh. By focusing on innovation, skill development, and financial assistance, the programme aims to generate employment and support sustainable economic growth in the region.
The latest edition reflects continued efforts to position Arunachal Pradesh as a hub for emerging startups and local enterprise development.
