The Learning Planet Youth Design Challenge is now accepting nominations until December 1, 2024. This annual global initiative invites individuals aged 15-26 to submit their ideas for innovative learning programs for their ideal university. The Learning Planet Institute, in collaboration with UNESCO, is leading a worldwide movement to establish a new type of university that caters to global transitions. Through the Youth Design Challenge, participants are encouraged to co-create the future of learning.
Participants can propose programs focusing on engagement, flourishing, or sustainability. The themes include community engagement, well-being, and planetary health, among others.
Prizes for the challenge include $1000 for the first prize and $500 for the second prize. The 12 finalists will benefit from ongoing mentorship from a diverse global network across various industries. These finalists will also have the chance to present their programs at international summits focusing on education and social impact throughout 2025.
Eligible individuals include students, educators, institutions, sponsors, and partners who can contribute by bringing innovative ideas to life, guiding young innovators, and supporting youth-led projects financially and through promotion.
