The Cultivators Program by the Farm Foundation is inviting applications to support the development of future leaders in the agricultural industry. This program selects up to eight university students to attend each Farm Foundation Round Table meeting, where they interact with industry experts. Cultivators, who can be undergraduate or graduate students, are chosen from a competitive pool of applicants from accredited North American colleges or universities.
Each selected Cultivator is paired with a Farm Foundation Round Table Fellow who serves as a mentor during the meeting, ensuring they understand the expectations and facilitating connections with other participants. Cultivators are required to actively participate in all meeting activities and present a poster showcasing a key aspect of their studies.
The upcoming January 2025 meeting will focus on the theme “Getting the Next Green Revolution Right.” Students must attend all Round Table sessions, engage with participants, and deliver a brief presentation and create a poster for display and discussion with fellow attendees during networking breaks. Eligible students must be nominated by a dean, director, or department chair from their institution, with preference given to those with a direct interest in the meeting’s topic.
