The Budgets for Citizens project is launching its 2nd stream of an educational program designed to enhance the skills of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Mass Media in understanding budgetary processes. The program consists of three phases: an online learning phase covering state budgets, advocacy, and related skills; a face-to-face training phase with lectures and analytical work; and an EU experience exchange phase. Participants will gain fundamental knowledge, skills for participation in budget processes, tools for advocacy, and may receive sub-grants for budget analysis and advocacy campaigns. The program is open to CSOs and media personnel, with selection criteria favoring those active or intending to be active in target areas, with little to moderate capacity building experience, and a preference for first-time participants. Successful completion of the program will require sharing knowledge within organizations and active involvement of youth and women. Participation is free, and more information can be found on the Budgets for Citizens website.
