Action Against Hunger Celebrates 2025 Impact Award Recipients, Including P!nk for Humanitarian Work

Dated: October 29, 2025

Action Against Hunger has announced its 2025 Impact Award honorees during a year of significant global humanitarian challenges. The annual gala aims to raise essential funds and spotlight individuals making meaningful contributions toward ending hunger worldwide.

Global music icon and Grammy-winning artist P!nk is being recognized with the Humanitarian Award for her long-standing advocacy around hunger and disaster relief. She has used her influence to raise millions for food security efforts and amplify the voices of vulnerable communities.

Dancliff Mbura, who leads Advocacy, Communications, and Partnerships for Action Against Hunger in Kenya, will receive the Leadership Award. With more than 14 years of experience across nutrition, health, food security, and climate initiatives, he is celebrated for his impact-driven leadership and commitment to empowering marginalized communities.

The gala, themed “Whatever It Takes,” will be hosted by Mo Rocca, who emphasized the urgent need to support humanitarian organizations facing funding challenges. His participation aims to expand awareness and resources for the organization’s mission.

Navyn Salem, CEO of Edesia Nutrition, will be honored with the Impact Award. Through her organization, she has helped produce therapeutic foods that combat severe malnutrition. Edesia’s work, in strong collaboration with Action Against Hunger, has reached over 27 million children in crisis zones across the world.

Funds raised through the event will support the Standing Strong Against Hunger Campaign, which seeks to mobilize $6 million to offset the loss of USAID funding that previously supported nearly a third of the organization’s programs. With more than half already raised, contributions remain vital to sustaining life-saving services for millions of people.

Action Against Hunger highlights that this is a critical moment for humanitarian response. Despite major funding setbacks, the organization remains committed to ending hunger through emergency assistance, resilience-building, and innovative nutrition solutions that save lives and support long-term food security.

For over four decades, Action Against Hunger has operated in some of the world’s most difficult environments, providing lifesaving nutrition support and pioneering new methods to address hunger. The organization affirms its determination to continue fighting until food security is achieved for all.
