The European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) has opened applications for its inaugural Youth Advisory Board (YAB), a group of fifteen young leaders who will provide guidance on EU-driven policies, projects, and initiatives. The board offers a unique opportunity for young people to directly engage with the EU office in BiH and contribute to youth-focused programs, policy discussions, and advocacy efforts.
Members of the YAB will work closely with EU working groups, participate in events as panellists, speakers, and facilitators, and collaborate with local and regional youth networks to promote youth priorities and EU initiatives. They will also engage with civil society organizations, government institutions, and EU projects, ensuring youth perspectives are integrated into policymaking and program development.
Selected members, aged 18 to 29 and citizens of BiH, will serve a voluntary term of 12 to 24 months, with all participation costs covered. Candidates are expected to have strong English skills, a commitment to volunteer engagement, and experience in activism or EU-related projects. The board will prioritize diversity and inclusion, encouraging applications from persons with disabilities, minority groups, and underrepresented communities.
Applications must include a Europass CV and a statement of purpose of up to 500 words, detailing the applicant’s motivation, field of interest, and relevant experience. The call remains open until 30 September 2025 (23:59 CET).
