‘SNEH: Supporting, Nurturing & Enabling Happy Families’ is a beautifully curated compendium of perspectives and practices from governments, practitioners, and stakeholders on family-based alternatives. Launched by Miracle Foundation India at the National Family Summit hosted by them in February 2025, it captures inspiring stories, emerging trends, and significant policy shifts from the past five years, making it an essential resource for anyone working in or supporting care reform in India.
This Compendium draws insights from five Leadership Dialogues — an inclusive platform designed by Miracle Foundation India to enable every child to thrive in a loving and safe family. Conceived as a continuous series of dialogues rather than a closed event, it aims to elevate and influence the discourse on Family Strengthening and Family-Based Alternative Care. The Compendium features commentary from panel speakers who inspired reflection, shared learning insights, stimulated innovative thinking, and encouraged courageous action despite obstacles.
Additionally, the volume includes a repertoire of frequently asked questions from participants of Leadership Dialogues, and a curated basket of reference resources from across the sector, contributing to the collective mission of building strong, nurturing families for every child in India.
Recognizing the crucial contributions of diverse stakeholders to child care reforms, Miracle Foundation India has developed this Compendium to honour their work. More than a collection of perspectives, it stands as a testament to the collective efforts driving systemic and sustainable change in India’s child protection landscape.
