Charities supporting young people facing barriers to employment, education, and training can now apply for a share of a £150,000 funding programme launched by the Persimmon Charitable Foundation.
The foundation has opened its second funding round of 2026, focusing on initiatives that help individuals aged 14 to 25 improve employability, develop skills, and access opportunities that support long-term social and economic success.
Registered charities across the UK are invited to submit applications for projects that tackle disadvantage, promote social mobility, and provide pathways into work, education, or vocational training. The programme is particularly aimed at supporting young people in communities experiencing economic and social challenges.
Established by housebuilder Persimmon Homes, the Persimmon Charitable Foundation has donated more than £3 million to charities and community organizations since 2021. The foundation supports projects focused on youth development, learning, training, and community wellbeing.
The current funding round forms part of a wider £300,000 grant programme for 2026, which will distribute six grants of £50,000 across two application cycles. Earlier this year, several organizations received funding to expand services that improve opportunities for young people and strengthen local communities.
Foundation representatives said the initiative is designed to improve outcomes for young people, particularly those who are not currently in education, employment, or training. The funding aims to help charities deliver impactful programmes that build skills, confidence, and pathways to future careers.
Applications for the latest funding round are open until June 21, 2026, with successful recipients expected to be announced later in the year.
