Announcing the Winners of The Lantos Foundation's Activist Artist Scholarship Competition
We are thrilled to share the results of The Lantos Foundation's annual Activist Artist Scholarship competition! This exciting initiative encourages students to delve into the profound connection between art and the human rights movement. Through their creativity, these talented young artists have demonstrated how art can be a powerful vehicle for social change.
This year, the first-place awards have been presented to two exceptional students who truly embody the spirit of activism in their art. Tess Sumner, a student from Newfound Regional High School, has impressed the judges with her innovative approach and compelling message. Her artwork not only captivates the viewer but also inspires action and awareness about pressing human rights issues.
The competition provided an incredible platform for students to express their views and experiences related to human rights through various artistic mediums. It showcased the unique perspectives of young voices who are increasingly becoming advocates for change in their communities and beyond.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Tess and all participants who submitted their wonderful works of art. Your creativity and passion for justice are vital in fostering a society that values human rights for everyone. We look forward to seeing how these young artists continue to use their talents to inspire others and promote positive change in the world.
Stay tuned for more updates on The Lantos Foundation’s initiatives, as we remain committed to supporting and empowering the next generation of activists and artists.
