The National Willa Cather Center is offering the Norma Ross Walter Scholarship for female graduates of Nebraska high schools who intend to pursue English majors in accredited colleges or universities. The scholarship deadline is January 31, 2025.
Funding Information:
– First place recipient: $3,000.00
– Second place recipient: $2,500.00
– Third place recipient: $2,000.00
– Number Awarded: Three each year
– Each stipend is provided at the start of the first college year and is non-renewable.
Eligibility Criteria:
– Female high school seniors planning to enroll in their first year of college as English majors in accredited institutions.
– Selection is based on the applicant’s intellectual promise, creativity, and character.
