The Letten Prize, established by the Letten Foundation and the Young Academy of Norway, acknowledges the contributions of young researchers in the areas of health, development, and environment that impact various aspects of human life. With a deadline of 6 February 2025, the prize seeks to raise awareness of how research can address global challenges in human development. The winner receives 2.5 million NOK (approximately 240,000 EUR/235,000 USD), with a quarter designated for personal use and the rest for research activities. To be eligible, researchers must be under 45 years old in 2025 and have conducted outstanding and socially relevant research within the specified fields. They are also encouraged to have a global impact, engage in interdisciplinary work, and be effective communicators. Applications are open to researchers of all disciplines and nationalities, with a focus on candidates’ potential for future research. The recipient must submit a report on their research activities and present their findings at the Letten Lecture event. Women and minorities are particularly encouraged to apply.
