The Global Cement and Concrete Association is inviting entries for its 6th Annual Concrete in Life Photography Competition. Concrete, being a fundamental material in our daily lives, plays a crucial role in various aspects such as buildings, roads, bridges, energy infrastructure, and environmental protection. It is recognized as a sustainable building material that ensures safety, durability, and resilience in structures.
The competition features four categories:
– Urban Concrete: showcasing city landscapes and buildings, both prominent and hidden.
– Concrete Infrastructure: highlighting infrastructure in urban and rural areas, above and below ground.
– Concrete in Daily Life: capturing the human aspect of concrete and its everyday interactions.
– Concrete Beauty and Design: displaying aesthetically pleasing uses of concrete in architecture, sculptures, and landmarks.
Prizes are awarded in different categories, with the overall winner receiving $10,000. Additionally, there is a People’s Choice award worth $5,000. The competition is open to photographers worldwide, regardless of amateur or professional status.
To participate, entrants must upload a photo of concrete in their lives on Instagram or another platform, including specific hashtags for the competition and category entered. Multiple entries are allowed, but each photo can only be considered for one category. It is essential to make photos publicly accessible on Instagram for judging purposes.
