The Government of Canada is investing $500,000 in Saint-Quentin, New Brunswick, to strengthen community services and support local economic growth. Announced by Guillaume Deschênes-Thériault, Member of Parliament for Madawaska–Restigouche, on behalf of the Honourable Sean Fraser, the funding will support the expansion of La Moisson public library, including the addition of three multi-purpose rooms to accommodate community programs, workshops, and training for local businesses.
The project is designed to enhance civic engagement, promote inclusion, and provide a modern, flexible space that meets the evolving needs of the community in the digital and remote work era. By improving access to learning, community support, and economic development opportunities, the investment reinforces the vitality of rural communities and strengthens the local economy.
This funding is provided through the Innovative Communities Fund, which supports initiatives that drive economic growth and community development across Atlantic Canada.
