The Delta Regional Authority (DRA) has announced more than $16 million in new funding opportunities aimed at strengthening infrastructure, workforce development, and business growth across its eight-state service region.
The funding is being made available through the States’ Economic Development Assistance Program (SEDAP), one of the DRA’s primary investment tools for supporting community and economic development projects. The program targets improvements in basic public infrastructure, transportation systems, and workforce and business development initiatives across 255 counties and parishes within the Delta region.
According to the agency, individual awards will range from $50,000 to $500,000. The application deadline for the 2026 funding cycle is July 31, 2026.
DRA officials emphasized that the program is designed to support long-term regional prosperity by helping communities invest in projects that improve essential services and expand economic opportunity. The funding is intended to strengthen local capacity, enhance job creation, and support infrastructure upgrades that benefit both residents and businesses.
In the previous year, the DRA invested approximately $37 million across 87 projects through the same program, supporting a wide range of initiatives focused on infrastructure improvement, workforce training, and sustainable economic growth throughout the region.
The latest funding round continues the DRA’s ongoing efforts to drive regional development and build more resilient communities across the Delta.
