The Rockefeller Foundation has released its 2025 Impact Report, Big Bets, Real Results, highlighting significant achievements in mobilising capital and advancing global development. In 2025, the Foundation distributed more than US$350 million through 235 grants and programme-related investments, working with 204 partner organisations worldwide.
The report notes that these efforts directly mobilised nearly US$3 billion in capital and contributed to an additional US$29 billion in indirect investments, bringing the total mobilisation to approximately US$32 billion. The Foundation’s initiatives spanned Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe, and the United States, with major focus areas including Universal Energy Abundance, Food is Medicine programmes in the U.S., and Regenerative School Meals globally.
Key outcomes included AI-based disease warning systems in Latin America, school meal programmes in Kenya, and clean energy projects in Haiti and India. Overall, the Foundation’s programmes reached 731 million people in 2025, with around 3 million individuals experiencing measurable improvements through direct interventions.
In February 2026, the Foundation partnered with the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet, the Clean Cooking Alliance, and Energy Corps to expand access to modern cooking technologies across Africa, addressing the needs of nearly one billion people who still rely on traditional fuels.
The Foundation also reaffirmed its Mission 300 initiative, launched in 2024 with a pledge of more than US$100 million alongside the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet. Mission 300 aims to provide electricity access to 300 million people across Africa by 2030, reinforcing the Foundation’s commitment to energy access and sustainable development.
