The Henderson Loggie Charitable Foundation has opened its second round of grant funding, inviting charities and community groups across Scotland to apply. Established last year by the accountancy firm Henderson Loggie, the foundation aims to support people facing disadvantage, ill health, disability, financial hardship, or other significant challenges.
In its first round of funding, the foundation supported five organizations working closely with their communities. These groups provided services for children and families in need, people living with neurological conditions, unpaid carers, and young people facing barriers to education. Each grant helped sustain or expand services that directly improved lives.
Chair Jacqueline Watson noted that the initial grants demonstrated the dedication of many organizations working tirelessly to support vulnerable people. She emphasized the positive impact already seen, from inclusive play opportunities for children to improved wellbeing for carers and those with long-term health conditions.
The foundation is particularly interested in applications from organizations supporting people experiencing ill health, disability, age-related challenges, financial hardship, or social disadvantage. Projects that promote wellbeing, independence, inclusion, or access to education are strongly encouraged. All applicants must be based in Scotland and able to demonstrate clear local impact.
Applications can be submitted through Henderson Loggie’s website, where full details of the criteria and process are available. The foundation hopes this second round of funding will reach even more groups making a difference in their communities.
