People’s Health Trust has been awarded £850,000 in funding from City Bridge Foundation to deliver a new programme in London focused on children and young people’s mental health. The funding comes through the Foundation’s Strategic Transitions Award and will enable the Trust to partner with community-led expert organisations supporting young people with mental health challenges.
The programme will build evidence of the positive impact of initiatives designed by and for children and young people, strengthening their health and future prospects. Details of the programme will be announced in the coming weeks, but the funding represents a significant step in expanding support for those with the highest levels of need.
Chief Executive John Hume emphasized that many children and young people are struggling with anxiety and worsening mental health, which can affect their long-term opportunities, social connections, and financial stability. He noted that this funding, combined with the Trust’s expertise in community health, will help reach those most in need and support them into better futures.
The Trust also welcomed further collaboration with other foundations, philanthropists, and corporate partners to expand the reach of this work and ensure more communities benefit from targeted mental health support.
