The Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) is inviting applications from civil society organisations in England to deliver the Local Covenant Partnerships Fund, a new three-year programme valued at £11.59 million. The fund aims to strengthen collaboration between local authorities and civil society groups to provide joined-up, preventative, and self-directed care. Priority areas for funding include mental health, adult social care, women’s refuges, and child poverty, with a focus on communities most affected by the cost-of-living crisis.
The programme will operate in 15 areas across England, yet to be identified in 2026 based on criteria of ‘double disadvantage’—where high levels of deprivation coincide with low social capital. Funding will be distributed quarterly in arrears, covering revenue and administrative costs, with delivery expected to begin in April 2026.
DCMS is seeking experienced organisations, or partnerships of organisations, with a proven track record of building relationships between local stakeholders and driving investment in the voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) sector. Applicants may apply individually or as part of a consortium, joint venture, or partnership, particularly when combining capacity, expertise, or specialist knowledge to meet the programme’s objectives.
Applications are open to charitable, philanthropic, or benevolent institutions based in England. The deadline for submission is 23:59 on 23 February 2026, with successful applicants required to work closely with DCMS to identify the participating local areas.
