Stockholm, June 2026 – The Internationalisation Board has announced a new funding opportunity for junior researchers to strengthen or establish collaborations with partners in low- and middle-income countries across Africa. Grants ranging from 50,000 to 100,000 SEK are available to support projects aimed at fighting poverty and advancing sustainable health and development.
The application period runs from June 1 to September 1, 2026, with submissions accepted through the KI Prisma system. Awarded funds will be available for use during 2027.
Eligibility is limited to KI employees or affiliated researchers holding a doctoral degree but not yet Docent. Priority will be given to those who earned their degree after January 1, 2019.
This initiative underscores the importance of international collaboration in tackling global challenges and provides junior researchers with the resources to build impactful partnerships that contribute to inclusive development across Africa.
