Bondada Engineering has received a Notification of Award from NTPC Green Energy Limited to undertake Balance of System works for the development of a 600 MW solar project at Fatehgarh in Rajasthan. The project will be executed in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) mode, along with Operations and Maintenance services, under a three‑year timeline.
This marks Bondada Engineering’s second order from the NTPC Group, raising its cumulative order inflow to about ₹1,207 crore and bringing its total capacity close to 1 GW. With this award, the company’s solar EPC order book has expanded to approximately 5.3 GWp, strengthening its execution momentum and growth visibility.
The scope of work includes design, engineering, site development, manufacturing, inspection, supply, insurance, transportation, storage, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 300 MW solar power project. It also covers BOS works for setting up 600 MW of solar projects under EPC mode, with O&M services for three years. The ₹816.01 crore order is expected to be completed within 16 months of receiving the award.
NTPC Renewable Energy Limited has also expanded its solar push in Rajasthan through other contracts. KPI Green Energy Limited was awarded a 500 MW grid‑connected solar project in Bikaner, with an aggregate contract value of ₹621 crore. Similarly, Solarworld secured a Balance of System package for a 1 GW solar project in Bikaner, valued at about ₹267.53 crore, covering a 200 MWac block as part of a larger 1,000 MW development.
