London-based AI recruitment startup Nexco.ai has raised pre-seed funding to accelerate the development of its agentic AI platform designed for the executive search industry.
The investment came from DSW Ventures, a Manchester-based venture capital firm that focuses on backing early-stage technology and high-growth startups across the United Kingdom.
Founded in 2024 by Charlotte Gandell and Gareth Cokell, Nexco.ai develops AI-powered “co-workers” that assist executive search consultants by transforming unstructured candidate interactions into structured, CRM-ready data and insights.
The platform is designed to automate recruitment workflows related to interviews, compensation discussions, reference checks, shortlist analysis, and internal reporting. By integrating directly with existing CRM systems, Nexco.ai aims to streamline the executive recruitment process while reducing manual administrative tasks.
The company plans to use the new funding to expand its AI agent platform, strengthen candidate intelligence capabilities, and accelerate product development. It also intends to further automate data-heavy recruitment workflows commonly handled by executive search firms.
Nexco.ai operates in the growing market for AI-driven recruitment technology, where companies are increasingly adopting automation tools to improve hiring efficiency, candidate analysis, and talent management processes.
The investment reflects continued investor interest in AI applications focused on enterprise workflow automation and professional services, particularly in sectors where large amounts of unstructured data create operational inefficiencies.
