The Madrid City Council has announced the ten startups selected to participate in the XIII Madrid Emprende Investment Forum, which will take place on 27 May 2026 at the Palacio de Cibeles. The initiative aims to connect innovative startups with private investors, accelerate business growth, and strengthen Madrid’s position as a leading hub for entrepreneurship and startup investment.
This year’s edition attracted a record 97 applications, reflecting the rapid growth and diversity of Madrid’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. City officials highlighted the strong impact of the Investment Forum program, noting that startups from the previous twelve editions have collectively raised more than €6 million in private investment funding.
The selected startups represent a wide range of industries and technologies, including biotechnology, healthcare, artificial intelligence, digital services, pet technology, employment platforms, and solutions for traditional industries. Each startup will present investment rounds starting from €200,000 to an audience of investors seeking co-investment and strategic partnership opportunities.
The event will feature a dynamic pitch format where each startup will have five minutes to present its business model and three minutes to answer investor questions. The forum will also include networking sessions designed to encourage direct interaction between entrepreneurs and investors and support the creation of long-term business partnerships.
Prior to the event, participating startups will receive specialized training and personalized mentoring to strengthen their investment pitches and improve their value propositions. The preparation process is intended to help founders present scalable and investment-ready business opportunities.
Among the selected companies are innovative startups focused on pet care services, medical devices, cancer diagnostics, neurodegenerative disease detection, and digital employment platforms. These projects demonstrate Madrid’s growing strength in deep technology, healthcare innovation, and digital transformation.
Through initiatives like the Madrid Emprende Investment Forum, the Madrid City Council continues to support high-potential startups that contribute to economic competitiveness, qualified job creation, and practical innovation addressing real-world challenges.
