RIF has launched a new Software as a Service (SaaS) platform to manage all stages of project funding, from announcing calls to disbursing payments. The platform is designed to offer flexible capabilities for developing functionalities and business workflows, aiming to improve efficiency across the funding ecosystem.
The project aims to create a modern and secure grants management system that enhances the quality and efficiency of funding processes. It will provide a unified, user-friendly experience for all stakeholders, including applicants, beneficiaries, evaluators, and RIF personnel.
RIF Director General Theodoros Loukaidis described the initiative as a major milestone in a transformation that began 3.5 years ago. The new system is planned to be fully operational within nine months to support the upcoming Programming Period 2028-2034.
Demetris Nisiotis, CEO of NetU Group, noted that using the Salesforce Grants Management platform, a globally recognised solution, will substantially improve RIF’s operational effectiveness. The collaboration with NetU Consultants Ltd marks a key step in RIF’s digital upgrade, enhancing its capacity to support research and innovation in Cyprus while adding value for both its officers and partner organisations.
