The Government of Spain has renewed and significantly strengthened its partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) through a USD 7.5 million (EUR 6.5 million) contribution in core resources for 2025. This marks a tenfold increase in Spain’s core funding over the past three years, reflecting a deepening commitment to multilateralism and global cooperation.
Spain’s enhanced support underscores its dedication to helping achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and delivering long-lasting results where they are needed most. Through this partnership, UNDP and Spain work together to address complex challenges—including inequality, climate change, crisis response, electoral processes, and human development—in regions such as Latin America, the Caribbean, and Sub-Saharan Africa, as well as countries affected by conflict and crises like Ukraine and Lebanon.
UNDP looks forward to continuing its close collaboration with Spain to build a more peaceful, inclusive, and sustainable world, advancing shared goals to ensure no one is left behind.
