Burkina Faso–based healthtech startup Hacking Group has developed SuiviVital, a digital health platform designed to improve patient monitoring, medical data management, and communication between doctors and patients. The solution is part of a growing push toward e-health services in West Africa, where limited healthcare infrastructure often affects continuity of care.
SuiviVital enables patients to record and store key health indicators such as blood pressure and blood sugar levels, while allowing doctors to remotely monitor their condition through a centralized digital medical record system. The platform is especially targeted at patients with chronic illnesses such as diabetes and cancer, where long-term tracking is essential for effective treatment.
The startup, co-founded by Bienvenu Emmanuel Birba, created the solution after observing gaps in patient follow-up, particularly among pregnant women and individuals managing long-term conditions. By digitizing health data, the platform aims to reduce administrative burdens in healthcare facilities while improving the flow of medical information between stakeholders.
SuiviVital also supports appointment tracking, treatment follow-ups, and remote communication, helping to streamline healthcare interactions and improve overall efficiency. As smartphone usage and mobile internet access continue to expand across the region, solutions like SuiviVital are gaining relevance in addressing systemic healthcare challenges.
The platform reflects a broader trend of digital innovation in African healthcare systems, where startups are leveraging technology to improve accessibility, continuity of care, and disease prevention outcomes.
