Aboard, a Southern California‑based startup redefining modern mobile living, has completed its Pre‑Series A funding round, bringing total investment to $13 million. The round was led by Ondine Capital and Llama Ventures, supporting Aboard’s next phase of growth as it prepares its extended‑range electric travel trailer for mass production.
The company said the funds will be used to finalize product validation and refine its electric recreational trailer platform, which integrates mobility, energy, and living capabilities into a single system. Aboard’s first product — an extended‑range electric vehicle (EREV) travel trailer — is engineered to deliver a quiet, energy‑independent experience with automated comfort systems and vehicle‑level towing control.
Built using automotive‑grade manufacturing technologies, including precision‑stamped body and door systems, the trailer aims to improve reliability and ease of use compared to traditional RVs. Founded by a team of automotive engineers, Aboard applies vehicle‑level design and production principles to create a seamless, modern mobile‑living experience.
The company will make its public debut on May 29 at Outside Days in Denver, Colorado, where attendees can tour the trailer and meet the team. Pricing is expected to start at $80,000, marking a major milestone as Aboard expands engagement with outdoor communities and prepares for broader commercialization.
