Driving the Future of Farming: Warwickshire Hosts Agriculture Innovation Showcase

Dated: February 16, 2026

The Growing Your Innovative Agricultural Resources Conference 2026 recently took place at the National Farmers Union headquarters in Stoneleigh, placing forward-thinking ideas and cutting-edge innovation at the heart of discussions.

Organised by Warwickshire County Council in partnership with Warwickshire National Farmers Union, Warwickshire Rural Hub, Innovation for Agriculture, and the River Severn Partnership Advanced Wireless Innovation Region, the event highlighted the collaborative efforts shaping today’s rural innovation landscape.

Experts from Warwickshire and beyond explored how farming can respond to both current challenges and future opportunities, with particular focus on technological advancement, sustainability, and environmental change. The conference offered peer-to-peer learning, enabling participants to share ideas and discover new approaches for running and growing agricultural businesses. It also positioned Warwickshire as a hub for Agri‑tech by showcasing expertise and innovation at Stoneleigh.

Partnerships with Harper Adams University and Hartpury University strengthened links with higher education institutions to develop future skills in agriculture. Farmers gained insights into using resources more efficiently and adopting modern technologies, including 5G-enabled smart farming solutions, supporting the drive toward innovative and sustainable agriculture.

Councillor George Finch, Leader of Warwickshire County Council, emphasised the vital role of agriculture in the county’s economy and the importance of supporting rural businesses as they prepare for the future. He highlighted the council’s commitment to helping rural enterprises leverage advancing technology and address emerging challenges.

Rurally based businesses seeking support, including guidance on digital connectivity or other agricultural issues, are encouraged to contact Warwickshire County Council for assistance in finding solutions.
