The EU-funded project INSPIRED Moldova has launched a call for proposals to provide financial support to civil society organisations (CSOs) to strengthen their strategic role in Moldova’s democratic development. The initiative aims to advance digital literacy, promote responsible online civic participation, and encourage safer and more informed use of digital technologies among young people and community actors. Projects are expected to build essential digital skills within community organisations, foster ethical engagement through digital tools, and enhance CSOs’ capacity to interact constructively with public institutions via digital channels.
Participating organisations will act as Digital Ambassadors, guiding communities in the use of digital tools for civic engagement and helping citizens navigate the digital landscape with greater confidence and awareness. Selected organisations will receive grants managed by People in Need Moldova to cover the costs of their project activities. In addition, they will have access to tailored consultancy support in organisational development and other relevant areas through the CONTACT Centre.
Each proposal can receive up to €15,000 in funding, with projects expected to last between 7 and 11 months and begin implementation in February 2026. The deadline for applications is 22 December. INSPIRED Moldova, running from 2024 to 2027, seeks to create an enabling environment for civil society by empowering CSOs to actively participate in policy discussions at all levels in Moldova.
