Boulder County Human Services has opened applications for approximately $8.5 million in Community Partnership Grant funding to support local nonprofit organizations providing essential services to residents in 2027. The one-year grants aim to strengthen programs focused on housing stability, health, safety, and family support.
The funding will help nonprofit organizations deliver services across three major areas: housing and homelessness prevention, health and well-being, and individual and family support programs. Eligible initiatives may include rental assistance, shelter services, healthcare programs, food support, mental health services, financial assistance, child development programs, and violence prevention efforts.
Boulder County officials said the grants are designed to help nonprofit partners continue addressing growing community needs. Local organizations often serve as a critical resource for residents seeking support, and the funding will help expand access to programs that improve quality of life and promote long-term stability.
The Community Partnership Grant funding is supported through two local sources: the Human Services Safety Net (HSSN) mill levy and the Boulder County General Operating Fund. The HSSN mill levy, approved by county voters and renewed through 2030, helps address gaps in funding for essential health, housing, and human services programs.
To qualify, organizations must be nonprofit entities with a physical address in Boulder County and must provide services to county residents. Applications are open until Friday, August 21, 2026, at 5 p.m.
Through the grant program, Boulder County aims to strengthen partnerships with local nonprofits and ensure residents have continued access to vital resources, including housing assistance, healthcare support, and programs that help individuals and families build stable futures.
