The Nexstar Media Charitable Foundation has awarded $5,000 grants to Urban Baby Beginnings and Sleep in Heavenly Peace-Savannah as part of its “30 Days of Giving” initiative.
The initiative focuses on supporting nonprofit organizations, community service, maternal and child health, family wellbeing, child welfare, safe sleep, local giving and employee-led charitable engagement.
The grants were announced on day fourteen of Nexstar Media Group’s month-long “30 Days of Giving” campaign, which was launched to mark the company’s 30th anniversary. The initiative recognizes nonprofit and charitable organizations serving communities across Nexstar’s nationwide footprint.
As part of the campaign, locally led committees reviewed nominations submitted by Nexstar’s 13,000 employees. More than 100 organizations were nominated, and the Nexstar Media Charitable Foundation selected 60 organizations to receive $5,000 each.
During June, the Foundation is awarding two $5,000 grants every day. By the end of the month, the initiative will provide a total of $300,000 in charitable contributions.
