Morocco’s Medi1TV has received authorization to launch television broadcasting operations in Mali through a newly signed agreement with the country’s media regulator. The development marks a significant step in strengthening media cooperation between Morocco and Mali while expanding the diversity of television content available to Malian audiences. The agreement enables the broadcaster to establish operations, manage productions, and distribute programming within the country under national broadcasting regulations.
The partnership goes beyond broadcasting activities and focuses on enhancing collaboration within the media sector. Both parties aim to promote professional knowledge exchange, support media training initiatives, encourage digital innovation, and improve coverage of African issues. These efforts are expected to contribute to the development of local media talent and strengthen professional standards in the audiovisual industry.
Medi1TV already maintains a presence in Mali through its radio services and is now extending its footprint into television broadcasting. The expansion represents a strategic investment that supports the company’s broader objective of increasing its influence across the African media landscape while fostering stronger regional connections.
