The Rochford District Council has launched a public consultation to gather local feedback on the long-term future and management of Cherry Orchard Jubilee Country Park in the United Kingdom, aiming to improve accessibility, biodiversity, and visitor experience.
The consultation, which runs for eight weeks from June 10, 2026, invites residents and park users to share their views on two main areas: the condition and accessibility of the park’s paths, and the draft management plan for the site. Feedback will focus on issues such as drainage, signage, surfacing, and how well different routes connect across the park.
Alongside infrastructure concerns, the council is also seeking opinions on the park’s long-term vision, priorities, and proposed improvements. These responses will help shape how the site is maintained and developed in the future, with an emphasis on enhancing both environmental quality and public access.
The council said the information collected will be used to better understand how the community uses the park and to guide future decisions, including funding applications for upgrades and conservation work. The goal is to ensure that improvements reflect local needs while also supporting biodiversity and the overall sustainability of the park.
Residents can participate in the consultation online or request paper copies, with the survey set to close on August 5, 2026. The process is intended to ensure that local voices play a central role in shaping the future of the community green space.
