Kyiv — June 5, 2026 — The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine, with funding from the Government of Japan, has supported the modernisation of Ukraine’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) monitoring platform, administered by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
The upgraded platform, available at sdg.stat.gov.ua, provides transparent and user-friendly access to national SDG data, aligning with the updated indicator system approved by the Cabinet of Ministers in 2024. Enhancements include improved functionality and design, advanced data visualisation, bilingual support in Ukrainian and English, and strengthened accessibility and security features. Historical data has also been preserved, enabling long-term tracking of progress.
Arsen Makarchuk, Head of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, highlighted the importance of the upgrade: “The updated SDG platform provides a unified, structured presentation of data on Ukraine’s progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. It strengthens the evidence base for policy decisions and reinforces trust in data as a reliable foundation for decision-making.”
UNDP Programme Specialist Olena Ursu emphasized that reliable data is critical in the context of war and recovery: “The updated platform provides access to up-to-date national data and enables comprehensive tracking of Ukraine’s progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.”
The modernisation was carried out under the project “Supporting Inclusive Recovery for Resilient and Secure People in Ukraine”, with expert assistance from the Diia Support Project, funded by the Government of Sweden.
By strengthening Ukraine’s SDG monitoring system, the initiative supports sustainable development, recovery planning, and European integration, ensuring that progress towards the global goals remains transparent and accountable.
