Northern Trust Asset Management (NTAM) has launched two new actively managed Adaptive Equity funds designed to help investors navigate increasingly complex and rapidly changing global markets.
The newly introduced UCITS funds apply NTAM’s Adaptive Equity strategy across both World and Emerging Markets investment universes. The approach combines fundamental research, advanced data science, alternative data sources, and adaptive portfolio construction to identify high-quality companies and generate long-term alpha opportunities.
According to the firm, the strategy goes beyond traditional equity factors by incorporating insights from economic networks, corporate innovation trends, market sentiment, and stakeholder value metrics. Advanced analytical tools, including natural language processing, are used to uncover investment opportunities that may be overlooked by conventional market analysis.
The Ireland-domiciled funds are classified as Article 8 under the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), reflecting a focus on environmental, social, and governance considerations alongside active stewardship practices such as shareholder engagement and proxy voting.
Northern Trust Asset Management said the launch builds on its long-standing quantitative investment expertise and aims to provide institutional investors with more diversified sources of return across varying market conditions. An institutional investor from the Nordic region has already made an early investment in the World Adaptive Equity Fund.
With approximately $1.4 trillion in assets under management as of March 2026, NTAM continues to expand its quantitative investment offerings as demand grows for data-driven, risk-efficient portfolio strategies in global equity markets.
