The Community Foundation of Frederick County has awarded over $758,000 through its Impact Grant program to support projects that improve life in Frederick County. In 2026, more than 55 organizations received funding for initiatives spanning arts, historic preservation, agriculture, health and human services, education, cultural understanding, animal welfare, scholarships, elder care, youth programs, and civic causes.
Donors establish charitable funds with the Community Foundation to support causes important to them. For example, the Dan Crozier Music Trust Fund contributed $6,650 for youth music programs, the Alvin F. Tesmer and John J. Hayes Veterans Memorial Fund awarded $3,069 for veteran projects, the Health Fund for Frederick County Youth provided $72,450 to support children with medical needs, and the Roger Brooke Taney House Endowment Fund granted $7,072 for a new artifact preservation facility. In total, over 130 Impact Grants were awarded this year.
