Ukraine’s Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced the expansion of the country’s largest grant programme for entrepreneurs, Vlasna Sprava (Own Business), under the Made in Ukraine initiative. Starting in 2026, the programme will offer increased grant amounts and wider opportunities for Ukrainians who wish to start or grow their own businesses, even amid wartime challenges. The expansion aims to further support job creation and strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem across the country.
Under the revised scheme, grants of up to UAH 100,000 will be available for businesses without new jobs, UAH 200,000 for one new job created, and UAH 350,000 for two new jobs created. Young entrepreneurs aged 18–25 will also be eligible to receive up to UAH 200,000 to launch their ventures. Those who have already benefited from previous grants and successfully implemented their projects will now have access to additional micro-grants to help scale their operations.
The programme’s scope for veterans and their families has also been expanded. Parents and adult children of veterans are now eligible to apply, while families of fallen defenders of Ukraine can receive grants of up to UAH 1 million, provided they create new jobs. This measure aims to promote economic resilience and support those most affected by the war through sustainable livelihood opportunities.
Since its inception, the Vlasna Sprava grant programme has helped more than 32,000 Ukrainians establish their own businesses, created 46,000 jobs, and generated over UAH 5 billion in economic activity. Prime Minister Svyrydenko emphasized the importance of spreading awareness about the programme to ensure more veterans, families, and young people take advantage of these opportunities to bring their business ideas to life across Ukrainian communities. Applications can be submitted online via the Diia portal or through local employment centres.
