Mastercard has launched a new embedded virtual card payment solution in Australia, with Westpac as the first commercial issuer to offer it to clients using Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). This integration combines Mastercard’s virtual card technology with Oracle’s B2B platform to create a seamless and secure payment experience fully embedded within the Oracle Cloud ERP system. Businesses benefit from real-time visibility, improved control over payments, enhanced working capital management, and streamlined supplier onboarding, all within their existing ERP workflows.
The solution addresses the inefficiencies of manual commercial payments, which often slow operations, increase risk, and tie up capital. By embedding virtual cards directly into enterprise systems, organizations can reduce friction in their payment processes, enabling faster, safer transactions and freeing finance teams to focus on higher-value activities. Automated reconciliation and detailed remittance data further enhance transparency and simplify the payment lifecycle for both customers and vendors.
Unlike traditional implementations requiring custom integration, this virtual card capability is embedded within the customer’s existing Oracle Cloud ERP subscription, eliminating the need for additional setup or technical resources. The launch reinforces Mastercard’s global partnership with Oracle and its commitment to modernizing business-to-business payments, helping companies transition from outdated manual processes to efficient, unified payment flows.
