Qatar Foundation and DAAM have signed a funding agreement to support the Rasekh initiative, a program designed to strengthen Arabic language, cultural identity, and values within international education while maintaining global academic standards.
The agreement was announced during the Rasekh Strategic Forum in Doha, where the Rasekh Framework and Accreditation System were launched and the first participating schools were introduced. DAAM’s funding will help expand the initiative across Qatar Foundation schools and private international schools in Qatar and the wider region.
Rasekh aims to align international education with local culture by:
- Strengthening Arabic as a language of learning, innovation, and critical thinking.
- Localizing international curricula to reflect local contexts.
- Integrating ethical values and citizenship into school life.
- Connecting education with both local and global innovation.
The funding will support the development of educational resources, teacher training, implementation of the accreditation framework, and broader participation by schools.
Qatar Foundation said the partnership reflects a commitment to helping students remain connected to their language, identity, and values while preparing them to engage confidently with the wider world. DAAM stated that supporting Rasekh aligns with its goal of investing in young people and strengthening their connection to national values and cultural heritage.
The initiative is expanding through an accreditation model based on four standards: Arabic Language, Curriculum Localization, Ethical Values and Citizenship, and Local and Global Innovation.
