The BC Jindal Foundation, the social arm of the BC Jindal Group led by Shyam Sunder Jindal, has announced a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) allocation of ₹43 crore for the financial year 2026–27. The funding will support a wide range of community development initiatives across India, focusing on healthcare, skill development, education, nutrition, animal welfare, and local infrastructure.
The foundation’s CSR initiatives will be implemented across several states, including Delhi, West Bengal, Haryana, Odisha, and Maharashtra. The programs are expected to benefit approximately 3 lakh people, reflecting a broad outreach strategy aimed at improving social and economic well-being in underserved communities.
A significant portion of the funding has been earmarked for healthcare initiatives, with ₹16 crore dedicated to improving access to affordable and quality medical services. These programs are projected to directly impact around 2 lakh beneficiaries through enhanced healthcare delivery and support systems.
Skill development has also been prioritised, with ₹5 crore allocated to training initiatives designed to improve employability. According to the foundation, its previous programs have achieved a strong placement rate in high-demand sectors, while also providing vocational training to thousands of young participants from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Additional allocations include ₹7 crore for community infrastructure development, ₹8 crore for nutrition-focused interventions, ₹4 crore for education programs benefiting thousands of children, and ₹3 crore dedicated to animal welfare initiatives.
The BC Jindal Foundation stated that its CSR efforts are aligned with broader national development goals and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a focus on long-term social impact and inclusive growth.
Established in 1952, the BC Jindal Group operates across packaging films, energy, and steel products, and continues to expand its social outreach through structured community investment programs.
