Innovafeed has entered a new phase of expansion after raising €51 million in fresh funding, strengthening its position as a global leader in sustainable aquaculture and pet food ingredients. The company’s Nesle site is now fully operational, producing more than 15,000 tons of protein and oil annually, with production costs reduced sevenfold.
This milestone reflects Innovafeed’s successful industrial scale-up, with production volumes increasing tenfold and revenues doubling year after year. The company’s circular industrial symbiosis model delivers a 70–90% reduction in carbon emissions compared to conventional alternatives, underscoring its sustainability impact.
The funding round, backed by investors including Creadev, QIA, Temasek, FFC, ABC Impact, and ADM, will support the commercial development of Innovafeed’s Hilucia™ product ranges, expand industrial equipment and processes, and optimize production lines for efficiency.
CEO and co-founder Clément Ray emphasized Innovafeed’s dual ambition: producing sustainable, competitive ingredients without exploiting marine resources, while building an innovative industrial project in France. He noted that the company is now focused on capturing the full value of its ingredients’ functional properties to improve animal health and growth.
With this €51 million boost, Innovafeed is transitioning from industrialization to commercial expansion, positioning itself as a reference point in the global feed industry and reinforcing its commitment to sustainability.
