WisdomTree has announced the launch of the WisdomTree Physical AI, Humanoids, and Drones Fund (WDRN), which will trade on the Cboe BZX Exchange. The fund arrives at a crucial time for artificial intelligence, as the technology expands beyond digital applications into physical AI, enabling machines to perceive, decide, and autonomously act in the real world.
This development represents a shift from AI as a tool for information generation to a system capable of producing tangible outcomes. WDRN is designed to track the WisdomTree Physical AI, Humanoids, and Drones Index, which provides exposure to global companies involved in physical AI activities. These include humanoid and collaborative robots, drones, autonomous vehicles, AI-driven manufacturing systems, warehouse automation, and intelligent machines across industries such as healthcare, construction, agriculture, and defense.
Christopher Gannatti, Global Head of Research at WisdomTree, emphasized that AI is moving from the digital sphere into physical applications as advances in models, computing, and robotics converge. He highlighted examples such as autonomous vehicles, next-generation factories, and drones in modern conflicts as evidence of this transition. According to Gannatti, capital is increasingly flowing into semiconductors, automation, and industrial infrastructure, signaling the emergence of physical AI as a major investment cycle. WDRN aims to give investors exposure to companies positioned at the forefront of this evolving segment of the AI ecosystem.
