The Bezos Earth Fund has launched a $4.8 million partnership with The Earthshot Prize to accelerate 48 pioneering climate and nature solutions over the next three years. This initiative aims to support innovations that have been nominated for The Earthshot Prize but not selected as Finalists, helping scale transformative projects that advance climate mitigation and nature conservation globally.
Each year, 16 selected solutions will receive funding to expand their operations and amplify their environmental impact. The projects will be chosen from The Earthshot Prize’s extensive network of high-impact nominations, reflecting a commitment to mobilizing a decade of action for the planet.
The first cohort of 16 grantees will each receive $100,000. Their work spans cutting-edge technology and community-based approaches, representing the bold and creative innovation necessary to address climate change and protect biodiversity.
These grantees include organizations tackling a wide range of environmental challenges, from sustainable food production and renewable energy to species conservation and ecosystem restoration. By empowering these innovators, the partnership seeks to accelerate scalable solutions that make a measurable difference for both people and the planet.
The collaboration underscores the importance of supporting early-stage environmental innovations that might otherwise lack resources to grow. It highlights the shared vision of the Bezos Earth Fund and The Earthshot Prize to drive meaningful progress in tackling the climate crisis and preserving nature at a global scale.
