UNDP, in partnership with the Export Development and Promotion Center “Kyrgyz Export” under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, has launched the nationwide information and training campaign “Export Caravan 2026.” Running from 1 to 13 February 2026, the initiative aims to equip regional businesses with the knowledge and tools needed to successfully enter foreign markets.
Export Caravan 2026 will be delivered through a series of one-day, in-person seminars across multiple regions, including Batken, Osh, Jalal-Abad, Talas, Issyk-Kul, and Naryn. The campaign is designed to reach businesses outside major urban centers, ensuring that export opportunities and expertise are accessible to entrepreneurs across the country.
The initiative focuses on preparing micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises for export by offering practical, step-by-step guidance covering the entire export process. Participants will gain a clear understanding of how to align products with target markets, meet technical, veterinary, and phytosanitary requirements, navigate customs procedures, conduct market research, and manage logistics, supply chains, and financing.
Training sessions will be delivered by national experts from Kyrgyz Export, UNDP, Kyrgyzstandard, veterinary and phytosanitary services, and financial institutions. This multi-institutional approach is intended to provide participants with direct access to key export support organizations and up-to-date, practical insights grounded in national regulations and market realities.
Export Caravan 2026 targets producers and processors of both agricultural and non-agricultural goods, MSMEs interested in exporting, and entrepreneurs seeking hands-on export knowledge. The campaign is structured to respond to real business challenges, helping companies better understand how to prepare products for international markets and improve their competitiveness.
By strengthening export readiness at the regional level, Export Caravan 2026 aims to build a sustainable pipeline of export-ready companies across Kyrgyzstan. The initiative contributes to the objectives of the National Export Development Programme “Made in Kyrgyzstan” for 2025–2028 and supports broader efforts to enhance trade facilitation and economic diversification in the country.
