Members of the media who wish to cover the World Trade Organization’s 14th Ministerial Conference (WTO MC14) must apply for accreditation by 26 February 2026 at midnight (Central European Time). The conference will be held in Yaoundé, Cameroon, from 26 to 29 March 2026 and will bring together trade ministers and senior officials from WTO members.
Before submitting an application, journalists are required to ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria established by the WTO. Media accreditation is strictly for journalists and media professionals, while non-governmental organizations follow a separate accreditation process and official delegations must apply through their designated channels.
To complete the accreditation process, applicants must submit a scanned letter of assignment from their editor on official letterhead along with a digital passport-sized photograph. Once the application is reviewed, successful applicants will receive a confirmation letter by email, outlining the next steps and access details.
Media accreditation does not automatically grant entry into Cameroon. Most applicants will need to obtain a visa, and specific information regarding visa requirements for journalists will be shared by the organizers when available. Applicants are advised to monitor official updates closely to ensure timely travel arrangements.
Additional information relevant to media coverage of MC14 will be released as the conference approaches. Journalists with questions regarding accreditation are encouraged to contact the WTO media accreditation team directly via the official email channel.
The WTO Ministerial Conference is the organization’s highest decision-making body and is held at least once every two years, as mandated by the Marrakesh Agreement. MC14 will host representatives from the WTO’s 166 members, providing a platform for high-level discussions and decisions on global trade governance.
