LUSH Malaysia has launched a refreshed approach to advocacy and giving, starting in late March 2026, linking product innovation directly with NGOs to drive measurable impact in conservation, community empowerment, and environmental justice. The initiative marks a shift from awareness campaigns to action-oriented projects that deliver tangible outcomes.
The announcement was made at the LUSH Charity Pot Showcase at NU Sentral in Kuala Lumpur on January 22, 2026, where the company highlighted collaborations since the launch of Charity Pot in Malaysia in 2022. Partners included Coralku, Turtle Conservation Society, MareCet, Pulihara, KUASA, Malaysian Writers Society, AIESEC in Taylor’s, MERC, and Tengah Island Conservation. Dr Harvinder Harchand, Director of LUSH Malaysia, emphasized that the impact achieved so far is the result of long-term collaboration with NGO partners.
Charity Pot, inspired by LUSH’s global initiative, had previously directed 100% of net sales from its hand and body cream to grassroots causes. Although the Malaysian programme concluded in 2025, its legacy continues with significant environmental and community outcomes. Nationwide beach clean-ups have removed over 12,500 kilograms of waste across Johor, Port Dickson, Penang, Terengganu, and other locations. Coral restoration efforts have planted 1,248 corals and restored 35 frames, supporting reef ecosystems that host a quarter of marine species. Mangrove projects have planted 458 saplings and nurtured 100 seedlings, enhancing coastal protection and carbon storage.
Wildlife conservation initiatives included supporting 11 turtle adoptions, protecting 20 nests that produced 1,689 hatchlings, and releasing 20 terrapins in partnership with the Turtle Conservation Society. Education also remains a key focus, with the “From Classroom to Conservation” programme engaging nearly 400 students in Terengganu through hands-on learning experiences that strengthen connections with nature.
Looking ahead, LUSH Malaysia plans to continue releasing purpose-led products in collaboration with NGOs. Each launch is designed to amplify critical causes while funding frontline conservation and community initiatives, demonstrating how coordinated efforts can protect wildlife, restore ecosystems, and empower local communities.
