The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine has announced a short extension to the application deadline for the 2026 Schemes of Investment Aid for Innovation and Diversification in Horticulture. The extension affects three key schemes: the 2026 Scheme for Innovation and Diversification in Horticulture (Capital Investments), the 2026 Scheme of Investment Aid for Innovation and Diversification in Horticulture (Feasibility/Desk Studies), and the 2026 Scheme of Investment Aid for Process and Organisational Innovation in Horticulture for Large Enterprises.
The new closing date for applications is now midnight on Tuesday, 3 February 2026, giving applicants additional time to submit their proposals. These schemes, which opened in December, are designed to encourage greater innovation and diversification within the horticulture sector by supporting both capital investments and process or organisational improvements.
The Department emphasizes that these initiatives aim to strengthen the capacity of primary producers to adopt innovative practices, explore new product lines, and enhance overall competitiveness. Applicants can find further information, including the application form and full terms and conditions, on the Department’s official website.
