The Pan American Health Organization’s (PAHO) Information Systems and Digital Health Unit (IS/EIH) has announced that the full recordings of Cycle I of the Seminar Series: Artificial Intelligence in Public Health are now available online. This marks an important milestone in advancing digital learning and knowledge sharing across the Americas in the field of public health innovation.
The seminar series forms part of PAHO’s broader Digital Literacy Program in Health, which is designed to build strategic and practical expertise among health professionals on the use of digital tools and artificial intelligence. By making these sessions publicly accessible, PAHO aims to promote equitable access to cutting-edge information and encourage collaboration across countries and institutions.
Cycle I includes three virtual sessions that highlight key dimensions of AI in health. The International Webinar: Artificial Intelligence in Public Health featured insights from Marcelo D’Agostino, Paula Kohan, and Tom Ribeiro on the potential and ethical considerations of AI applications. The Masterclass: Learning Networks and Collaboration Platform in Clinical Care, presented by Yuri Quintana, explored the role of AI in strengthening health systems through connected learning environments. Finally, Meet the Expert: Using Prompts with Purpose – Part 1, led by Juan Carlos Díaz, offered a practical look into how AI can enhance decision-making and data interpretation in healthcare contexts.
Through these efforts, PAHO continues to foster a culture of innovation, ensuring that digital transformation in health remains inclusive, knowledge-driven, and aligned with the region’s public health priorities.
